Step By Step Process (sort of) for creating Youtube Kids Videos
Create or have an existing youtube channel dedicated to Kid Safe Videos. In this example my channel name is: “Joannes Channel”
On “Joanne’s Channel” we add content that is kids safe. ONLY content that would be approved for kids. This is one way (we think) youtube knows this channel is following kid safe video rules.
After uploading your video to youtube, let’s tell youtube this is a kid video. In the video editor > under audience > “Is This Video Made for Kids? (required)”
You tube needs to know if this content is approved for kids.
IF IT COMPLIES WITH THE “CONTENT MADE FOR KIDS,” then click “Yes. it’s made for kids! “
This click (we think) adds your video to “the youtube review cue for content screening (jump to the explanation)” for approved you tube kids content.
“Regardless of your location, you’re legally required to comply with Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other laws. You’re required to tell us whether your videos are made for kids”
